Privacy Policies

This notice describes The Psychotherapy Institute’s (TPI) privacy policy as it relates to the collection, protection, and disclosure of such information resulting from credit card transactions only.

Collection of Information

Credit card information is collected only for business purposes, e.g., payment of membership dues or course registration fees. Phone numbers may be used to contact customers regarding their orders. Contact information including name, mailing address, and email address is collected and may be used for promotional purposes including promotional mail and email advertising upcoming events. To opt out of such promotional use of contact information, indicate this in the Notes section of your online order or contact admin@tpi-berkeley.org.

Protecting Your Credit Card Information

Credit card transactions conducted via our website do not store credit card information in a way that is accessible to any TPI employee for future use. TPI can issue refunds to credit cards previously used for payment within 60 days of initial purchase; such refunds are processed through our online merchant services provider, with no TPI employee able to directly access stored credit card information other than the customer-provided name, phone number, address, and email address.

Disclosure of Your Information

TPI does not disclose any nonpublic information (such as credit card number and their expiration dates) about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as required by law. We do not disclose information about you to other entities who may want to sell their products to you.

Transaction Security

TPI’s website uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol to ensure transaction security.
